About

Between two worlds:
science & art, technology & nature

On a daily basis, I work in the fields of neuroscience/biology and data science, with a particular interest in studying how different polymorphisms of Alzheimer's disease risk genes influence their carriers. More information about my scientific activities can be found on platforms like Google Scholar, LinkedIn, and GitHub.

Photography has been a passion of mine since childhood, beginning with a simple analog Kodak KB30 camera, which still holds a place of honor on my shelf. Inspired by Thoreau's philosophy that all good things are wild and free, and Jack London's writings on wanderlust, my photography centers on wildlife. My work exclusively captures wild animals in their natural habitats, with a special focus on the landscapes and fauna of northern and Slavic regions. I prioritize authenticity, relying on nature and my equipment to create compelling images while limiting post-production to basic adjustments.
